1. Perform the operations specified in paragraphs 1-8 section 18.
2. Disconnect the downshift cable from the carburetor or throttle body (depending on the model) and from the gearbox.
3. Disconnect the gear selector lever cable (see chapter 6).
4. Disconnect the speedometer drive cable and the reverse light switch wires from the automatic transmission.
5. Remove the oil dipstick and oil filler tube.
6. Disconnect the anti-roll bar from the lower control arm (see chapter 10).
7. Disconnect the oil cooler hoses and plug them.
8. Perform the operations specified in paragraphs 5 and 6 section 19.
9. Disconnect the exhaust downpipe from the manifold. Disconnect the pipe bracket from the gearbox and rotate it upward.
10. Perform the operations specified in paragraphs 8-14 section 19.
11. Disconnect the engine and gearbox mounts. Please note that the left rear engine support bracket must be approached from below.
12. Disconnect the gearbox ground wire.
13. Check that all wires, hoses, etc. are disconnected from the engine and gearbox, and lower the engine and gearbox to the floor. Lower the unit and turn it so that the right axle shaft can be disconnected (be careful not to drop it on the floor).
14. Lower the engine and gearbox to the floor and disconnect the hoists. You can use them to lift the front of the car to remove the engine and gearbox.
15. Alternatively, you can jack up the front end and install supports under the side members.
