1. Each rear brake is adjusted individually using an eccentric cam.
2. Raise the rear of the machine and support it securely. Block the front wheels by placing something under them.
3. Release the handbrake completely. Apply the brake firmly several times to center the shoes.
4. Turn one octagonal adjuster on the rear brake plate while rotating the road wheel in the normal forward direction until the wheel is locked. Then release it until the wheel rotates freely without sticking (photo).

5. Repeat the adjustment on the second adjuster and then on the two adjusters on the opposite brake.
6. Lower the car and apply the handbrake.
7. To combat corrosion that occurs in the regulators, periodically lubricate the octagonal head with some kind of lubricant and use a small amount of solid lubricant to prevent water ingress.
