Photo 2.1 Fluid reservoir cap and float.
2. This level will drop very slowly due to normal wear of the pads and linings, but any rapid drop and frequent need to add fluid will indicate a leak somewhere in the hydraulic system, which should be addressed.
3. Regularly inspect flexible and rigid tubing for any sign of leakage and, if found, repair it immediately.
4. Wear of disc pads or rear drum shoe linings must be checked regularly (what is stipulated in Routine Maintenance).
5. Replace system fluid by bleeding at regular intervals (specified in Routine Maintenance).
6. For models manufactured before 1984, inspect and, if necessary, adjust the rear brakes at the specified intervals as described in Section 8.
7. Routine maintenance of self-adjusting rear brakes is limited to inspection of the pads.
