2. Remove the brake disc as indicated in Section 6. Then unscrew the disc shield mounting bolts, penetrating through the holes in the hub flange (Pic. 9.19).
3. Rotate the disk shield until it becomes possible to cut through its connecting strip using metal cutters. Remove the shield.
4. Before installing the new shield, cut the webbing as shown. Lightly paint the cut end to prevent rust (Pic. 9.20).
5. Position the shield so that the notch is in the highest position. Screw in the mounting bolts.
6. Reinstall the disc and caliper.
