Removal
Apply the handbrake, then lift the vehicle's undercarriage and secure it on stands under the drive axle. Remove the corresponding wheel.
Remove the brake disc as described in the previous section.
Using a screwdriver inserted through the holes in the hub flange, remove the three shield mounting screws.
Using special scissors, cut a section from the rear edge of the shield so that it can be pulled out, then remove it (Fig. 9.10).
Installation
If a new shield is being installed, cut a section in the shield as you did when removing it so that the shield can be installed. Remove burrs from the cut edges and paint them with anti-corrosion paint.
