Removing
1. Where applicable, remove the caps then loosen the front wheel bolts and apply the handbrake. Jack up and support the front of the vehicle on axle stands. Remove the wheel.
2. Remove the brake disc as described in Chapter 10.
3. Inserting a screwdriver through the holes in the hub flange, remove the three screws securing the disc guard to the hub retainer
4. Use a pliers or similar tool to cut off the part of the rear edge of the guard that prevents it from being removed, then remove the guard.
Installation
5. When installing a new protective cover, cut out part of the rear edge, in the same way as when removing the old cover. Grind the cut edges and coat them with anti-corrosion paint.
6. Next, install in reverse order, paying attention to the following.
7. Install the brake disc as described in Chapter 10.
8. Do not fully tighten the wheel bolts until the vehicle is lowered to the ground.
