Selector lever (Opel Frontera B)

Note: Turn the ignition switch key to the LOCK position with the selector lever in the P position.

Removal

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Remove the lower instrument cluster trim and the rear and center console (see the relevant chapter).

Remove the button from the selector lever and the cover from the base of the selector lever.



Disconnect the transmission control cable and the locking cable from the selector lever (see; the relevant chapter).

Unscrew 4 nuts and remove the selector lever assembly.

Disconnect the connector from the selector lever.

Installation

Connect the connector to the selector lever.

Install the selector lever and secure it with 4 nuts, tightening them to a torque of 9 Nm.

Connect the transmission control cable and the locking cable to the selector lever (see the relevant chapter).

Install the cover onto the selector lever base and the button onto the selector lever.

Install the rear and center console, as well as the lower instrument cluster trim (see the relevant chapter).

Make sure the selector lever is in position P.

Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
