Transmission support (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Raise the vehicle and support it on supports.

Remove the transmission guard and plate from the chassis.

Use a jack to support the gearbox through a wooden block.

Loosen the nuts (4) securing the gearbox support to the rear beam (3).

Remove the 6 bolts securing the rear beam to the vehicle chassis.

Unscrew the 2 nuts (2) securing the support (5) to the bracket (6).



Remove the bolts (1) and remove the gearbox support bracket.

Installation

Install the gearbox support (5) onto the bracket (6) and secure with 2 nuts, tightening them to a torque of 50 Nm.

Install the rear beam (3) on the vehicle chassis and secure with 6 bolts, tightening them to a torque of 76 Nm.

Use nuts (4) to secure the gearbox support to the rear beam and tighten them to a torque of 50 Nm.

Remove the jack supporting the gearbox.

Install the transmission guard and chassis plate.

Lower the car.
