Electrical connectors for solenoid valves (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Remove the oil pan from the transmission housing (see the relevant chapter).

Remove the filter with the gasket from the gearbox housing (see the relevant chapter).

Disconnect connectors (2), (3) and (4) from the solenoid valves.



Press the release tab and disconnect the connector (1) from the transmission housing, pulling on the connector and not on the wiring harness.

Check the connector contacts for damage and corrosion.

Installation

According to the colors of the connector housings, connect connectors (2), (3) and (4) to the solenoid valves.



Connect the 4-pin connector (1) to the gearbox housing and secure the wiring harness in the clips.



Install the filter with a new gasket and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 20 Nm.

Install the oil pan with a new gasket and secure it to the gearbox housing with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 12 N·m.

Replace the transmission fluid drain plug and tighten to 25 Nm.

Fill the transmission with transmission fluid and check its level (see the relevant chapter).
