Warning: Never tow a vehicle in reverse.
If in an emergency it is not possible to use towing services, temporary towing of the vehicle is permitted using a cable or chain attached to an emergency towing eye located under the front or rear of the vehicle. Use extra caution when towing your vehicle.
If the gearbox is in good condition and the transfer case control lever is set to position 2H, the vehicle can be towed for a distance of up to 50 km at a speed of no more than 50 km/h.
If the distance is more than 50 km or the towing speed must exceed 50 km/h, and if the gearbox is faulty, tow the vehicle with the rear wheels mounted on a dolly or transport the vehicle on a platform.
Do not tow a vehicle that is heavier than the towing vehicle.
To prevent any damage to the eye, do not apply force to the towing eye at a large angle or vertically. Always pull the towing eye straight ahead or at a slight angle forward.
