Replacing the gearbox oil filter (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Place a suitable container to collect the drained transmission oil.

Remove the plug (arrow) and drain the transmission fluid from the gearbox.



Remove the oil pan from the transmission housing (see the relevant chapter).

Remove 3 bolts and oil filter.

Warning: The gasket is glued to the oil filter and is not supplied separately.

Installation

Install the oil filter on the gearbox housing and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 20 Nm.

Install the oil pan with a new gasket and secure it to the gearbox housing with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 12 N·m.

Replace the transmission fluid drain plug and tighten to 25 Nm.

Fill the transmission with transmission fluid and check its level (see the relevant chapter).
