Warning: Do not check the pressure at high engine speed for more than 5 seconds, as this may cause the transmission to overheat. Between checks, let the engine idle to allow the transmission fluid to cool.
Before testing, check the levels of all operating fluids and, if necessary, top them up to normal. Incorrect transmission fluid level may cause a malfunction, resulting in incorrect pressure test results.
Note: When checking the pressure, the transmission fluid temperature should be between 70-80°C.
Unscrew the plug and connect the KM-498-V (1) pressure gauge with the KM-712-A (2) adapter instead.
Apply the parking brake and press the brake pedal all the way down.
Move the selector lever to position D.

Measure the transmission fluid pressure with the engine idling. Compare the obtained values with the values given in the table "Transmission fluid pressure".
Note: If you have a TECH 2 device, check the current consumption of the electro-hydraulic pressure regulator.
Press the accelerator pedal all the way down and measure the transmission fluid pressure at maximum engine speed. Compare the obtained values with the values given in the table "Transmission fluid pressure".
Warning! Release the accelerator pedal and stop checking if the vehicle's wheels start to rotate before the engine's crankshaft speed reaches its maximum value.
Move the selector lever to position N (neutral) and let the engine idle, which will cool the transmission fluid.
Repeat the check in the remaining selector lever positions. Compare the obtained values with the values given in the table "Transmission fluid pressure".
Remove the pressure gauge with the adapter.
Screw in a new plug and tighten it to 14 Nm.
