Mechanical adjustment of the gearbox mode switch position
Set the selector lever to position N.
Loosen the nut securing the lever (1) to the gearbox mode switch.

Remove the cover (2) from the gearbox mode switch.
Loosen the transmission mode switch mounting bolts (1), then turn the switch until a 2.4 mm diameter special tool can be inserted into the aligned holes in the switch shaft sleeve (2) and the switch housing (3). In this position, tighten the transmission mode switch mounting bolts and tighten them to a torque of 13 N·m.

Install the gearbox mode switch housing (2).

Tighten the nut securing the lever (1) to the gearbox mode switch to a torque of 23 N·m.
Electrical adjustment of the gearbox mode switch position
Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
Set the selector lever to position N.
Disconnect the connector (2) of the gearbox mode switch and remove it from the bracket (1) of the gearbox housing.

Using the MKM-587-A universal measuring device, measure the resistance between contacts E (3) and H (2) of the connector.

Loosen the transmission mode switch mounting bolts (1), then slowly turn the switch in both directions to determine the position at which the contacts connected to connector terminals E and H are closed. This area forms an angle of approximately 5°. Set the switch in the middle of the area at which the contacts are closed, then tighten the switch mounting bolts (1) to a torque of 13 N·m.
Install the gearbox mode switch housing (2).

Tighten the nut securing the lever (1) to the gearbox mode switch to a torque of 23 N·m.
Disconnect the MKM-587-A universal measuring device from the connector.
Connect the connector (2) of the gearbox mode switch and secure it to the bracket (1) of the gearbox housing.

Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
