1. Place the car over a viewing hole.
2. Move the selector lever to position «N».
3. Disconnect the link from the lever on the transmission by releasing the spring clip and pivot pin.
4. Check that the transmission lever is in the «N» (third notch on the back).
5. Move the link rod back to push the select lever forward from the position «N», then locate the adjustment fork on the transmission lever. Check the alignment of the holes and, if necessary, turn the fork until the holes are exactly aligned.
6. From this position, turn the adjustment fork one full turn clockwise onto the link rod.
7. Install spring clip and pivot pin.
8. Check that the select lever is working properly. Also check that the inhibitor switches functions correctly. With the selector lever in positions R, D, 2 and 1, the starter must not operate.
