Maintenance is essential to safety and desirable to prolong the life of your vehicle. Over the years, the need for periodic lubrication has been greatly reduced, if not completely eliminated. It is vital for a vehicle to perform a comprehensive regular visual inspection to identify any potential defects early on, before they lead to costly repairs.
The following maintenance schedule is a list of maintenance requirements and the intervals at which they should be performed, as recommended by the manufacturers. Where applicable, these procedures are described in more detail at the beginning of the relevant Sections of the Manual.
In case of low annual mileage, follow the intervals to determine the service interval. Some fluids and components deteriorate with age even if they have not been used.
Vehicles that are driven in adverse conditions (such as extreme temperatures, or daily trailer towing, or mostly short trips) may benefit from service more frequently than indicated.
