Replacement of fuel filter — every 10,000 km (Opel Omega A)

1. Before removing the filter, thoroughly clean the outer surface of the filter and the fastener

2. Drain the fuel from the filter by unscrewing the vent and drain plugs. Tighten the vent plugs.

3. Unscrew the filter using a chain or repair key (see illustration). Remove the old filter and make sure that no O-rings remain on the fastener.

5. Lubricate the outer O-ring with clean fuel. Install the filter onto the retainer and tighten it by hand. Tighten the drain plug.

6. Start the engine and check the filter for leaks.
