Engine displacement 1994cc3, 4 cylinders, 16 valves, transversely mounted overhead camshaft, with gearbox on the left side of the engine. The crankshaft is supported by 5 main bearings. The axial play of the crankshaft is regulated by thrust half rings located on both sides of the N 3 bearing. The camshaft is driven by a chain from the crankshaft.
The engine is lubricated under pressure from the oil pump, which is driven from the right end of the crankshaft. The oil is sucked in through a mesh filter located in the oil receiver, and then flows through an external installed filter into the channels of the cylinder block. The connecting rod bearings are supplied with oil through an internal bore in the crankshaft. The camshaft cams and valves are lubricated with sprayed oil in the same way as all other moving parts of the engine.
