Right crankshaft seal ring
Replacement
1. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
2. Using a screwdriver blade as a lever, remove the O-ring from the chain cover.
3. Clean the seal ring seat and the sealing surface of the crankshaft.
4. Lubricate the lips of the new sealing ring with clean engine oil and, using a tubular drift, install the sealing ring.
5. Remove all traces of oil and install the crankshaft pulley.
Left crankshaft seal ring
Replacement
1. Remove the flywheel.
2. Drill two small holes in the end of the sealing ring, screw in two self-tapping screws and use pliers to pull the sealing ring out of the socket by the screw heads.
3. Clean the seal ring seat and the sealing surface of the crankshaft.
4. Lubricate the lips of the new sealing ring with clean engine oil and, using a tubular drift, install the sealing ring in place. Install the flywheel.
