Replacement of sealing rings of the steering mechanism is carried out without its removal from the car.
Unscrew the bolts securing the vacuum brake booster to the bulkhead shield and take it to the side.
Unscrew the unions of the high-pressure coarse pipe and the drain pipe from the steering gear housing and disconnect the pipelines from the steering gear housing.
Install new o-rings on all fittings. The pipelines must not touch the protective covers of the rail (bending pipelines is prohibited).
Connect the pipes to the steering box.
Check the oil level in the power steering pump reservoir and, if necessary, top up with ATF Dexron D oil.
Remove air from the power steering system as described above.
Check the oil level in the power steering pump reservoir again.
Make sure there are no leaks at the seals.
