Removal and installation of the power steering gear (Opel Kadett E)

Removal and installation of the steering mechanism on vehicles with power steering is carried out in the same way as on vehicles with mechanical steering, taking into account the following:

when removing, disconnect the high-pressure line and drain line from the steering gear housing, taking measures to prevent leakage of hydraulic fluid; when connecting the lines, it is necessary to put new sealing rings on the fittings;
after installing the steering gear, remove air from the power steering system.
