Replacing the alternator drive belt, air conditioning compressor and power steering pump (Opel Insignia A)

Removal



1. Open the hood.

2. Raise and secure the vehicle.

3. Remove the insulating covering from the engine compartment.

4. Insert the EN-913-A key into the tensioner bolt (3).

4. Insert the EN-913-A key into the tensioner bolt (3).


5. Using the EN-913-A wrench, turn the tensioner clockwise to loosen the drive belt tension and insert the EN-6130 locking pin (2).

6. Remove the EN-913-A key.

7. Remove the accessory drive belt (1).

Installation



1. Install the accessory drive belt on all pulleys as shown in the figure.

2. Insert the EN-913-A key into the tensioner bolt (3).

3. Turn the tensioner clockwise (in the direction of the arrow in the figure).

4. Remove the EN-6130 locking pin (2).

5. Smoothly turn the tensioner counterclockwise to create tension on the drive belt.

6. Remove the EN-913-A key.

7. Install the insulating covering of the engine compartment.

8. Lower the vehicle.

9. Close the hood.
