Every 15,000 km or 12 months.
Note: Opel uses a special template. Validation values using this template are given in Specifications in Section 10.
Control
1. Correct belt tension can be achieved by adjusting the length of the threaded rod. It should give the belt about 10.0 mm slack with moderate thumb pressure in the middle of the belt between the pulleys. Excessive belt tension can damage the pump.
2. Check the condition of the belt and replace if there are any signs of damage or excessive wear

3. Loosen the regulator and mounting bolts.
4. Loosen the adjuster nuts and adjust the length of the threaded rod (see illustration).
5. Tighten the regulator nuts and mounting bolts to the specified torque specification (see Section 10).
6. If a new drive belt has been installed, recheck the tension after a few hundred kilometers.
