Replacing the V-belt of the power steering pump drive (Opel Kadett E)

Removal

Loosen the two bolts securing the pump to the bracket and the two bolts securing the tensioner.

Loosen the nut and locknut of the belt tension adjusting bolt and remove the belt.

Installation

Place the new belt on the pulleys.

Using the KM 128 A device, adjust the belt tension with the adjusting bolt nut so that it is 45 kgf.

Tighten the bolts securing the pump to the bracket and the bolts securing the tensioner.

Check the belt tension again and adjust it if necessary.

Tighten the adjusting bolt lock nut.
