Steering type (all models) — Rack and pinion steering. On certain models, power steering is installed as standard, on others it can be installed at the owner's request.

- Non-power steering - 22:1 or 24.5:1
- Power steering - 18:1

Power steering drive belt tension (measured by a special Opel device):
- New belt - 250-300 N
- Belt used - 450N
