Steering wheel — centering (Opel Vectra A)

1. In the straight driving position, the distance between the center of the connecting plate of the steering rod mounting bolts: steering gear and the center of the rib of the right clamp of the steering gear should be equal to 325.0 mm (see illustration)In this position, the upper tie bolt of the flexible coupling should be located horizontally on the steering gear shaft (see illustration).





2. Make sure the steering wheel is centered.

3. If the steering wheel is more than 5° off-center, remove it, center it, and install it as described in Chapter 30.
