Removal



Disconnect the ground from the battery.

Remove the cover with the signal button from the steering wheel.

Remove the cover with the signal button from the steering wheel.


For the "Lux" steering wheel, observe the installation position of the signal button and cover (direction of arrows).

Set the steering wheel to the center position.

Bend the washer away from the nut. Unscrew the nut from the steering column.

Remove the steering wheel using a special puller (OPEL KM-210-A). The hooks of the puller face outward. See the picture above.



Caution: Do not remove or install the steering wheel by impact.

If necessary, remove the contact ring from the steering wheel hub and insert a new one.

Note: The turn signal switch return segment faces left.


Lubricate the contact surfaces with contact grease "Kontakrfix".

Installation



Put on the steering wheel, use a new protective washer.

The steering wheel should sit in the center of the spindle (the wheel hubs are pointing diagonally downwards).

Tighten the nut to 15 Nm.

Secure the steering wheel column nut with a safety washer (bend).

Connect the electrical wires to the cover: red to the connector, black to the terminal. Install the cover, see "Removal".
