Note: Please note that the steering rods have right and left threads.
Removal

Unscrew the tie rod clamp bolts.
Remove the locking wedge from the plate.
Unscrew the rod from the steering gear.
Loosen the opposite rod bolt.
Unscrew the rod from the adjusting bolt.
Installation
Screw the rod onto the adjusting bolt.
Caution: When screwing in, make sure the bolt goes in to the same depth. If the depth is insufficient, the vehicle's operating safety is at risk.

Take into account the right and left execution of the rod. Screw in the clamp bolt from below.
Screw both rods to the steering gear with a force of 50 Nm.

Secure both bolts with lock washers.
Caution: Always use a new clip to secure washers.
Adjust wheel alignment, see paragraph 15.1.
Note: When replacing both rods, take into account the right or left version. The clamp bolt is always screwed in from below.
