The steering mechanism is rack and pinion. The steering mechanism is connected to the front suspension subframe via damping bushings. There are two different gear ratios. The basic version has a gear ratio of 15:1, and the sports version has a gear ratio of 14:1. This change in gear ratio is achieved thanks to different designs of the steering rod axial joints.
