Checking the steering wheel effort (Opel Corsa C)

Note: Before performing the inspection, check the tire pressure, tire type and contact surface.

Set the steering wheel to the center position.

Remove the steering wheel cover.

Start the engine and set it to idle speed.

Using a torque wrench, measure the steering wheel force in both directions.

Maximum permissible force: 6 Nm.

If the steering wheel force is greater than the maximum allowable, repair the power steering.

Tighten the steering wheel mounting nut.

Tightening torque: 35 Nm.

Install the steering wheel cover.
