Possible malfunctions, their causes and methods of elimination (Power steering)

Tightening torques

*1 Observe tightening sequence.

*2 Use new mounting bolts, new washers and new self-locking nuts.

*3 Clean the threads in the steering spindle and screw in the bolt, applying protective grease.

*4 Use a new self-locking nut.

*5 Clean the threads and install the clamp bolt with protective grease.

*6 Clean the threads of the axial joint, clean the threads of the tie rod and axial joint, install with the application of protective grease.
