Checking the power steering fluid level (Opel Corsa C)

Set the car wheels to the straight position. If the working fluid in the hydraulic system has cooled down, the engine should not be started. You can also check the cold oil.

The power steering fluid reservoir is located at the rear of the engine compartment. Check the level using the indicator on the cap. Unscrew the cap, wipe the indicator rod with a clean cloth and screw it back in tightly. Unscrew the cap again: the level should be 2 mm below or above the "MIN" mark.

If the operating temperature of the fluid is 50°C, measure the level in the same way. The level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.

If the level is above normal, then it is necessary to take off the liquid. If it is below normal, check the system for leaks or add working liquid.
