In the vehicles in question, the power steering system reservoir is located directly on the steering mechanism, which makes the procedure for checking and adjusting the level of the working fluid somewhat difficult.
On the Zafira model, to access the tank, you need to remove the air supply pipe (see "Throttle assembly - removal, gasket replacement and installation").
To check the fluid level, unscrew the power steering reservoir cap counterclockwise. The working fluid level should be between the marks on the indicator.
If the working fluid level does not reach the lower mark, the fluid must be topped up. You should top up with a special fluid designed for the power steering system (see "Reference data") through a funnel with an extension (shown on Astra model).
