Checking the level of the working fluid is carried out on a flat area with the engine running and the selector position in P mode.
To check the level of the working fluid, it is necessary to lift the indicator clamp up...
... and remove the fluid level indicator from the guide tube.
Wipe it with a clean cloth and insert it back into the guide tube. Then re-extract the pointer.
On the pointer, marks are made on different sides to check the level at different temperatures of the working fluid in the gearbox. If the gearbox is not warm (the car after a long parking and the engine has only been running for a few minutes), the liquid level should be approximately in the middle between the marks on the side of the indicator, where there are marks MIN +20°C.
If the gearbox is warm (the car drove 10-15 km before the test), the level should be approximately in the middle between the marks on the side of the indicator, where there are marks MAX +80°C.
If the level is below normal, it must be topped up. Top up with a special fluid designed for automatic transmissions, see «Reference data») through the funnel.
