Attention. For topping up or in the event of a complete replacement of the power steering fluid, use the specified type of fluid. Using the wrong fluid can damage seals and hoses and cause leaks.
1. Clean the area around the expansion tank cap,
2. Remove expansion tank cap.
3. Regularly check the power steering fluid level:
- Start the engine to warm up the power steering fluid to a temperature of about 80°C.
- Turn off the engine.
- Remove expansion tank cap.
- Check the fluid level using the dipstick on the cap.
- Make sure the fluid level is at the HOT/FULL/MAX mark on the dipstick.
4. If the liquid level is low, add liquid to the required level.
5. Install the expansion tank cap.
6. If the working fluid level was checked after servicing the steering system, it is necessary to bleed the power steering system.
