Attention! Rods have different internal threads (left and right).
Removing
Loosen the traction bolt.
Remove the two bolt retainers from the inside of the linkage by pressing the center of the retainer spacer with a screwdriver.
Measure and record the depth at which the rod is screwed in or calculate the number of revolutions when unscrewing.
Disconnect the link near the steering gear.
Disconnect the linkage from the adjusting pin.
Installation
Screw the adjusting pin into the new tie rod. At the same time, maintain the dimension or number of revolutions measured during removal.
Attention! In order to ensure the safety of the steering mechanism, the screwing depth of the stud must be approximately the same on both sides.
Attention! Pay attention to the design of the traction (left or right). The clamping bolt is screwed in from below.
Secure the tie rod to the steering box with a torque of 95 Nm. Lock both screws.
Attention! Use new spacer clips to fasten the clamps.
Adjust wheel alignment (work being done in the workshop).
Tighten the tie bolt to 20 Nm.
