Removing
Disconnect wire "masses" from the battery.
Carefully remove the steering wheel hub cover with a screwdriver.
Carefully remove the steering wheel hub with a screwdriver.
Set wheels straight.
Bend the lock washer off the fixing nut and unscrew the nut.
Mark the position of the steering wheel in relation to the steering shaft.
Remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft using a puller (attachment Opel KM-210-A). The grips of the puller must point outward.
Attention! Never strike the steering shaft. Do not remove or put on the steering wheel by hitting it.
If necessary, remove the contact ring and replace it with a new one after lubricating it.
Installation
Put on the steering wheel so that its left and right spokes are at the same level from the floor.
Screw on the nut, tighten it to 25 Nm and lock it.
Make a short test drive. The left and right spokes of the steering wheel when driving straight should be at the same level from the floor, otherwise remove and rearrange the wheel to the appropriate number of splines.
Install the steering wheel hub cover and clip it onto the steering wheel.
Connect wire "masses" to the battery.
Check the operation of the sound signal.
Check the operation of the automatic return mechanism of the turn signal switch.
Instruction. A dirty steering wheel can be washed with a warm water solution of neutral detergent. Do not use aggressive substances!
