Removing
The instructions below only apply to steering wheels without airbags. For safety reasons, the airbag must be removed at a workshop.
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Set the front wheels to the straight ahead position.
3. Carefully remove the cover with the horn button with a screwdriver.

4. Unbend a lock plate of a nut of fastening of a steering wheel and give a nut.
5. Mark position of a steering wheel concerning a steering shaft.
6. Remove the steering wheel using a puller, for example, OPEL-KM-210-A.
Removing the steering wheel
To facilitate removal, do not knock on the steering shaft and pull the steering wheel in different directions.
7. If necessary, replace the cable drum in the steering wheel hub.
The outdoor lighting segment on the cable reel must face to the left in its installation position.

8. Lubricate the contact surface of the cable drum with grease «Kontaktfix» or vaseline oil.
Installation
1. Reinstall the steering wheel so that the marks made in advance match.
2. Install a new lock plate and tighten the steering wheel nut to 25 Nm.
3. Drive the vehicle, making sure the steering wheel is properly installed.
4. Secure the steering wheel nut with the lock plate.
5. Move the electrical wiring to the steering wheel cover and install the cover.
6. Connect the negative cable to the battery and check the operation of the horn.
7. Check the automatic reset of the outdoor light switch.
A dirty steering wheel can be washed with a neutral household solution and warm water.
