Air from the hydraulic system of the power steering system should be removed after opening the system.
The power steering pump must not run dry.
1. With the engine stopped, remove the tank cap.
2. Fill the tank to the lower mark (2). The indicated mark corresponds to a liquid temperature of 20 degrees.

3. Start the engine and let it idle. Turn the steering wheel twice at a 45 degree angle in both directions and then twice from lock to lock.
4. Check the fluid level and, if necessary, add fluid to the lower mark on the dipstick in the reservoir cap. When the engine is warm, the fluid level may reach the upper mark on the dipstick.
5. If necessary, adjust the power steering fluid level by adding fresh fluid, as specified in the Specifications, in small portions.
6. Close the tank lid.
