Removing
1. Remove the air filter housing and air intake sleeve.
2. Remove the V-belt (see chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
3. Disconnect the pressure and return hydraulic lines from the power steering pump, substituting a container in advance to collect the flowing fluid. Seal fittings and hoses On the accompanying illustration shown diesel engine 1.5 l.

4. On gasoline engines, disconnect the pump from the holder and remove it.

5. On diesel engine 1.5 l remove the tensioner, disconnect the pump and remove it.
On diesel engines, to remove the power steering pump, it is necessary to remove the drive belt tensioner
Installation
1. On diesel engine 1.5 l tighten the fasteners of the pump holder to the cylinder head with a force 60 Nm.
2. Tighten the fasteners of the power steering pump with force 30 Nm.
3. Attach the pressure hose to the pump firmly 30 Nm.
4. Connect the return hose.
5. Install the V-belt and tighten it (see chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
6. Install the air filter and air intake sleeve.
7. Fill the reservoir with power steering fluid.
8. Start the engine and monitor the fluid level in the power steering reservoir. When the level drops, add fluid immediately, its level should not fall below the lower mark.
9. Remove air from the power steering hydraulic path (see Section Removal of air from the hydraulic path of the power steering).
