Power steering fluid required to complete the job (see «Reference data»).
Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).
2. We hang out the front wheels of the car.
3. Check the fluid level and, if necessary, add fluid above the MIN·mark.
4. We turn the steering wheel from side to side without starting the engine to fill the system with working fluid.
5. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and, if necessary, add working fluid to the power steering reservoir above the MIN·mark.
6. We start the engine and re-check the fluid level. If necessary, add fluid above the MIN·mark.
7. We pump the system by turning the steering wheel from side to side, without delaying in extreme positions.
8. We listen to the operation of the power steering pump. The pump must run smoothly and quietly.
9. We set the front wheels of the car to the position of rectilinear movement. Let the engine warm up to operating temperature and turn it off.
10. Check the level of the working fluid: the level of the heated fluid should be near the MAX mark. Add liquid if necessary.
