Note: The operation is shown using the example of replacing the left steering rod. The right steering rod is replaced in the same way.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right so that the steering rod comes completely out of the steering rack.
3. Remove the protective cover of the steering rod (see 216, "Steering Tie Rod Protective Boot - Replacement").
4. Holding the rack from turning with a 22 mm wrench on the chamfer, use a 33 mm wrench to unscrew the steering rod joint.

Installation
We install all the removed parts in the reverse order. We tighten the steering rod joint to the prescribed torque (see "Reference data").
