2. Remove the inner and outer mounting clamps (bandage tapes) and remove the cover from the steering rod.

3. Carefully wipe the rod, place the new cover on it and fix it with the outer edge in the groove on the rod.
4. Secure the cover with new clamps, making sure that it does not twist.
5. Install the tie rod end (see Removal and installation tie rod ends).
6. At the earliest opportunity, take the car to a specialized auto service workshop to check and adjust the front wheel alignment.
