Replacing the upper and lower steering column covers (Opel Insignia A)

Note: Before starting work, fully extend the telescopic steering column, setting the steering wheel to the position of maximum distance from the dashboard.


1. Unhook the upper steering column cover (1) and remove.

Note: For better access, turn the steering wheel one way or the other.

2. Loosen the three mounting screws (2) and remove the lower steering column trim cover (3).

3. Remove the ignition switch frame (4).

4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
