Note: First remove the driver's airbag module (see chapter "Passive safety").
Caution: The additional passive safety system must be deactivated before working on the system components.
1. Loosen the steering wheel mounting bolt (1), but do not unscrew it completely, so that two or three threads remain screwed in.
2. Disconnect all electrical connectors.
3. Carefully remove the steering wheel (2) completely by rocking it.
4. Completely unscrew the mounting bolt (1) and remove the steering wheel (2).
5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Apply a fixing compound to the steering wheel bolt thread and tighten to a torque of 30 Nm.
