Replacing the steering column lock and ignition switch (Opel Insignia A)

            0

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the steering column covers.

3. Insert a 2mm diameter welding electrode into the hole in the top of the ignition switch housing.

4. Press and hold the electrode while turning the ignition switch cylinder clockwise from position "0" to "START". The ignition switch will automatically pop out of the housing.

5. Remove the ignition lock cylinder (1).

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
