Replacing the ignition switch (lock) contact group (Opel Astra J)

You will need a TORX T20 key.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

5. Use a screwdriver to push out the lock of the connector of the wiring harness of the ignition switch (lock) contact group…

7. …and disconnect the block from the contact group.

8. Unscrew the two bolts securing the contact group to the ignition switch…

Note: Pay attention to the marking of the contact group. Purchase a new contact group with similar marking.


10. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
