Lock positions
The lock is used to turn the ignition on/off (petrol models), starter initiation (petrol and diesel models) and steering column locks (petrol and diesel models).

The accompanying illustration shows the basic positions of the lock:
- "LOCK" = Steering column locked, on-board power supply disconnected
- "OFF" = Steering column unlocked, on-board power supply disconnected
- "ACC" = Ignition is off, but it is possible to use certain electrical equipment
- "ON" = Petrol models: ignition on; diesel models: pre-heating mode is enabled (see below)
- "START" = Power is supplied to the starter motor

1. To unlock the steering column, gently move the steering wheel left and right and turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
2. The steering wheel is locked by removing the key from the lock in the "LOCK" position, after which you should tug the steering wheel until the lock is activated.
