Gasoline engine
1. Place the transmission in neutral and depress the clutch pedal.
2. Don't rev it up.
3. Turn the ignition key to the "START" position.

Diesel
1. Shift the transmission into neutral and depress the clutch pedal.
2. Don't step on the gas.
3. Turn the key to the "ON" position.

4. After the pre-glow mode indicator lamp turns off, turn the key to the "START" position.
As soon as the engine starts, the electronic control system of the diesel engine will start to maintain the stability of its speed - there is no need to increase the speed by accelerating if there is no intention to move off.
When starting a diesel engine in cold weather (at temperatures below 0°C), after 10 seconds of unsuccessful engine cranking, the pre-heating mode should be re-enabled. Continue trying to start the engine until they are successful, then do not release the key immediately until the speed has completely stabilized.
