Caution: Use extreme caution when jump starting. Any deviation from the recommendations below may result in injury or damage from battery explosion and electrical failure of both vehicles.
Caution: Avoid contact of battery electrolyte with eyes, skin, fabrics and painted surfaces. Electrolyte contains sulfuric acid, which can cause injury or death if directly exposed.
Keep the battery away from sparks and open flames.
A discharged battery can freeze at temperatures around 0°C. Before connecting the jump leads, defrost the frozen battery.
When working with a battery, wear protective glasses and clothing.
Use a battery of the same voltage (12 V). Its capacity (Ah) should not be less than the capacity of the discharged battery.
Jumper cables must have insulated terminals with a cross-section of at least 16 mm² (25 mm² for diesel engines).
Do not disconnect a discharged battery from the vehicle's electrical system.
Turn off unnecessary power consumers.
Do not lean over the battery while jump starting.
The terminals of one wire must not touch the terminals of another wire.
When starting from a booster battery, the vehicles must not touch each other.
Apply the parking brake, place the manual transmission in neutral and the automatic transmission in position P.
The order of connecting the wires:
Connect the red wire to the positive terminal of the auxiliary battery.
Connect the other end of the red wire to the "positive" terminal of the discharged battery.
Connect the black wire to the negative terminal of the auxiliary battery.

Connect the other end of the black wire to the vehicle's ground, such as the engine block or engine mounting bolt. The connection should be made as far away from the discharged battery as possible, but within 60 cm. Route the wires so that they do not touch rotating parts in the engine compartment, (www.monolith.in.ua).
To start the engine:
Start the engine of the vehicle used as a "donor".
After five minutes, start the engine of another car. The starter can be turned on for no more than 15 seconds with an interval of one minute.
Let both engines idle for approximately three minutes with the wires connected.
On a car with a discharged battery, turn on the power consumers (for example, headlights, rear window heating).
Disconnecting the wires should be done in reverse order.
