Replacing the crankshaft pulley (Opel Insignia A)

Removal

1. Open the hood.

2. Raise and secure the vehicle.

3. Remove the front engine compartment splash guard.

4. Remove the accessory drive belt.

5. Loosen the bolt (1).



6. Install the EN-6625 lock (2) to lock the crankshaft and install the bolt (1).



7. Loosen and discard the crankshaft pulley bolt (1).



8. Remove the crankshaft pulley (2).

Installation

1. Install the crankshaft pulley.

2. Install the new crankshaft pulley bolt (1) and tighten in three stages:

• Tighten to 95 Nm.
• Pull to an angle of 45°.
• Pull to an angle of 15°.

3. Remove the bolt (1) and remove the EN-6625 retainer (2).



4. Tighten the bolt (1) to 75 Nm.



5. Install the accessory drive belt.

6. Install the front engine compartment splash guard.

7. Lower the car and close the hood.
